At Tree of Life we have four different types of turtles.
• White-lipped mud turtle / Tortuga caja
• Black river turtle / Tortuga negra del rio
• Orange-eared slider / Tortuga resbaladora
• Snapping turtle / Tortuga mordelona

Reproduction:
A female might lay from 2 to 30 eggs. One female can lay five clutches in the same year. Eggs hatch eighty to ninety days after they are laid.
Every year we have hatchlings (baby turtles) at Tree of Life. We do introduce those back in the wild.
